PD C.A.R.E.S. is an organization dedicated to supporting neighbors in need of emergency funding.

"We have many people in our community who are facing economic challenges. Some earn more revenue than that determined by the well known assistance programs, therefore not meeting the criteria of poverty guidelines. We are asking Galesburg's community to donate what we can to assist and help impact the health of these community members."

Funds are managed by United Way as the fiscal agent. Julie Haugland at the General Assistance Office takes inquiries for help and administers grants.
